Friends of Jack Tizard and Westfield run 2021 London Virtual Marathon

Rachel Smith & Justyna Gnatowska from Jack Tizard school & Una O’Reilly, Chris Betts & Jakub Skwarlo from Westfield will be participating in the virtual marathon on 3rd October with 24 hours to complete 26.2 miles. Donations will provide resources that will enhance the school experience for our pupils as well as enabling us to extend the use of our state-of-the-art hydrotherapy pool. This will enable more students & local children who have a range of severe learning difficulties can access this incredible space with their families after school and in the holidays..

Jack Tizard is a friendly, supportive, purpose-built all age school for pupils with severe learning difficulties, located in the north of the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham. The School is literally next door to Queens Park Rangers Football Club and fifteen minutes walk from Westfield Shopping Centre and the BBC; it has excellent transport links, including Wood Lane and White City tube stations a ten minute walk away.

We regularly recruit friendly, enthusiastic, hard working and reliable people to work as Teaching Assistants, as part of a team under the direction of our class teachers. To work at Jack Tizard School, you need good communication skills and relate well to children. You must be willing to work flexibly across the school as required, and whilst experience with special needs children is desirable, it is not essential as we offer a good induction programme. A positive attitude is more important along with a sense of humour!
