31 March 2021,

Dear Parents and Carers,

As the spring term draws to a close, we reflect on a period of time that has brought rewards and challenges to many in our school community. The resilience and dedication of the pupils, families and staff means that people were able to cope with the demands of the third lockdown so well. We are delighted to have welcomed more students back on site since 8th March. It has been wonderful to see classes reunited and friendships rekindled, and although we might not be able to be together as a whole school yet, we have continued to enjoy meeting up every week for assembly on google classroom to connect as a community.

We look forward to a full school again when we return from the break on 19th April, now that shielding has been paused. We will continue to review our site risk assessment - the most current one can be found on the website below this letter. We will continue to ensure that the provision and site is as safe as possible whilst enabling the highest standards or progress, fun and adventure! There will be an increased emphasis on play, enriched, of course, by our summer programme of activities, including Sports Day, International Week and Eid celebrations.

The testing programme for staff and secondary pupils has gone very well. We continue to be proud of the pupils who have coped so well and the staff who have stepped very much outside of their job descriptions in administering these. Our Assistant Headteacher, Peter, has now sent home the lateral flow tests and instructions to all pupils in the secondary department. Please do not hesitate to contact him, if you have any questions or concerns.

It is incredibly reassuring that so many of our staff, parents and some older pupils have now received the vaccine. The sun is shining and there is hope on the horizon after a remarkable year. We wish you all a relaxing break and thank you all for your continued support.

Yours sincerely

The Senior Leadership Team
